High Point Treatment Center
New Bedford 2005
Opened in 1984 as a for-profit alcohol abuse treatment facility, High Point Treatment Center was re-established under new management in 1997 as a nonprofit organization and has expanded its services to include residential alcohol and substance abuse programs. Since then High Point has continued to expand its level of service and programs. Today, High Point Treatment Center offers the most comprehensive continuum of Behavioral Health Services in Massachusetts.
For the past five years High Point has leased space in a renovated manufacturing building to house the administrative offices and its family shelter. Though the facility is adequate for the offices it is far from the services needed by the families in the shelter and not accessible by public transportation. A nursing home came on the market which would provide a much better facility in a better location for the families. High Point will use a loan from PCI to acquire the property. In addition to gaining a better property for their operations, the transaction will result in lower monthly costs than their current lease.
PCI Loan Amount: $576,000
